Record a new guide
Enter the site you want to explain. StepCast opens it in a new tab and records each click and field you fill in. When you're done, come back here and press Stop.
First, add the StepCast extension
Recording needs the small StepCast extension in Chrome or Edge. It only captures the tab you record.
- Open
chrome://extensionsand switch on Developer mode. - Choose Load unpacked and select the
extensionfolder from your StepCast download. - Come back here and press Connect the extension.
- RecordClick through the task once. Every click becomes a step with a screenshot.
- PolishEdit the words, blur private details, add your voice or music.
- ShareSend a link, embed it in your wiki, or download the video.
